Bossy Beauty is a unique beauty company founded by my friend and former Harvard Business School classmate, Aisha Kolo Dozie. Bossy aims to empower women by providing high-quality, cruelty-free beauty products and tools.

Aisha and I both grew up with strong mothers who told us we needed to live up to our potential. My mother would add: With the privilege of potential comes the expectation to use it. And there is nothing worse than looking back on wasted potential.
It’s why Aisha and I share a common drive to live our lives on our own terms, and maximize our impact on our families and communities. We’ve grown up and worked in diverse countries and business environments – Aisha in Africa and the US, me in Asia, Europe and the US – adaptation and evolution were core skills we developed as young women and key to our successes to date. Nevertheless, we certainly didn’t do it on our own, or simply with the support of family, partners and friends.
Coaching is a process of helping individuals or teams achieve their goals, improve their performance, and develop their skills through structured conversations. It can be applied in various settings, including personal development, career development, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Experienced coaches use proven techniques, tools, and frameworks to help clients identify their strengths and weaknesses, set realistic goals, create action plans, and overcome obstacles. They also provide feedback, guidance, support, and accountability to help clients stay on track and achieve their desired outcomes.
Throughout our careers, Aisha and I have used coaching to help us navigate a variety of personal and professional goals. Coaching was traditionally a well-kept secret of the privileged few. Through our Bossy x ideamix partnership, we’re on a mission to change that by democratizing access to coaching so all women can use it as their power tool to unlock their dreams and ambitions. We both know how important it is to feel as good on the inside as you look on the outside. Also, we both also know how hard it is to make changes on your own. That’s why coaching is such a powerful tool to help each of us ambitious women define our own goals, be held accountable to make the changes necessary to unlock ourselves, build confidence and skills, and achieve our goals alongside our best selves.
